UNITED STATES COAST GUARD AUXILIARY

Eighth District - Eastern Region
Flotilla 1606

Chattanooga / Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee

The primary purpose of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary is to promote Boating Safety. Its members are all volunteers, men and women, at least 17 years of age with our oldest active members reaching into their nineties and they are from all walks of life. Some members assist the US Coast Guard with their many duties, including on-the-water Search and Rescue. We do not receive any monetary compensation, but we can receive reimbursement for some out of pocket expenses. People sometimes ask why we do it -- it's because we enjoy it, and have a sense of accomplishment in our assistance.

If you are interested in joining the USCG Auxiliary you can e-mail us. We will reply as quickly as possible.

If you live outside of the Chattanooga Area and would like information about a flotilla near you go to the National web site.
